Storage:Store at -20℃, avoid light, 1 year
Apoptosis is one of the basic characteristics of cells, which plays a very important role in embryonic development, tissue repair, internal environment stability and so on. Annexin V is a Ca2+-dependent phospholipid binding protein with a molecular weight of 35.8 kD, which can specifically bind to phosphatidylserine (Phosphatidylserine, PS) which reverses to the outside of the membrane during apoptosis. After FITC-Annexin V binds to apoptotic cells, under the excitation of blue light, it emits green fluorescence to distinguish apoptotic cells from normal cells. Propidium iodide (Propidiumiodide, PI) is a kind of nucleic acid dye, which can not penetrate the intact cell membrane, but can penetrate the damaged cell membrane of late apoptotic cells and dead cells and make the nucleus red. Matching FITC-Annexin V with PI can distinguish early apoptotic cells from late apoptotic cells.
Storage:
Stored at 2-8℃, the reexamination period is one year. It is suggested that after opening the Annexin V-FITC, it should be packed into small parts and frozen at -20℃.
