Product Introduction:

Praziquantel is effective against schistosoma, tapeworm, cysticercus, clonorchis sinensis, lung fluke and ginger filamella. There are two main pharmacological effects on the insect body: ① The muscle of the insect body has a tonic contraction and produces spastic paralysis. After exposure to low concentrations of praziquantel, the strain of schistosoma increased only 20 seconds. When the concentration of praziquantel was more than 1mg/L, the body contracted strongly. The muscle contraction may be related to the loss of intracellular calcium ion due to the increase of permeability of somatic cell membrane by praziquantel. (2) Cortex damage and host immune function involvement: Praziquantel has a rapid and obvious damage effect on the cortex of the insect, causing swelling of the syncytial skin outside the body, vacuolation, bulla formation, protrusion of the body surface, and finally epidermal erosion and collapse, almost all secretory bodies disappear, and the annulus and longitudinal muscles dissolve quickly and successively. In the host, extraneous skin vacuolation can be seen 15 minutes after administration. After the destruction of the cortex, it affects the absorption and excretion functions of the worm body, and more importantly, its body surface antigen is exposed, so it is vulnerable to immune attack of the host, and a large number of eosinophils attach to the lesion and invade, prompting the death of the worm body. In addition, praziquanzione can also cause secondary changes, depolarization of body surface membrane, significant decrease of cortical alkaline phosphatase activity, resulting in inhibited glucose uptake and endogenous glycogen depletion. Praziquantel also inhibited the synthesis of nucleic acid and protein.
