Product introduction

Laccase belongs to the group of multi-copper oxidases, which are widely found in higher plants, fungi, some insects and bacteria.

Scope of application

There are many industrial applications, such as the removal of lignin from wood pulp, the treatment of fiber-containing lignin and the treatment of wood fibers to adjust the fiber structure or recombine the fibers; Increasing production of fuel alcohol from sustainable raw materials; Various biological processes and textile applications, such as jeans processing, dirt removal, various fiber processing in the textile industry, decolorization and dyeing; Residential sewage treatment, hair dye ingredients, hard surface cleaning and detergent ingredients.

Unit definition

The enzyme activity (LCU) of laccase depends on the rate at which eugenol is oxidized to cations. One unit of enzyme activity is the amount of enzyme required to oxidize 1mmol of enzymolysis per minute under specific conditions.
