Product Introduction:
Erythromycin (EM) is a macrolide antibiotic with a similar or slightly wider antibacterial profile than penicillin. It not only has strong inhibitory effect on gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, but also can inhibit mycoplasma, chlamydia, Rickettsia and a few mycobacteria. Its mechanism of action is to penetrate the cell membrane, bind to the 23S rRNA of the 50S ribosome, interfere with aminoacyl translocation, thereby inhibiting peptide elongation and ultimately blocking protein synthesis. Erythromycin also has anti-inflammatory and pro-kinetic properties. Erythromycin has been shown to inhibit the transcriptional activation of NF-κB, resulting in the inhibition of the expression of cytokines such as IL-8 and IL-6, through calcineruin-independent T lymphocyte signaling. Suitable for cell culture, the recommended working concentration is about 100 μg/ml.
Description:
Inhibit the elongation of peptide chain in the peptide transfer step, bind to the ribosome to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis, and induce erythromycin resistance to bacteria. Antimicrobial spectrum: Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria.
Note :
(1) For cell experiments, after dissolution, must be filtered with disposable needle filter to remove bacteria.
(2) For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and wear disposable gloves.
