Purpose: A complete membrane protein phase separation reagent. Non ionic descaling agents (low fog point: 23 ° C) can dissolve hydrophilic proteins from amphiphilic proteins.
Qulatong is a commonly used non-ionic surfactant that appears as a colorless or almost transparent viscous liquid, soluble in water, toluene, xylene, and ethanol, and insoluble in petroleum ether. There are two commonly used types: Triton-100 and Triton-114. Triton-100 is polyethylene glycol monooctylphenyl ether, and Triton-114 is diethylene glycol mono[(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl) phenyl] ether.
The main applications are:
Triton-100 is commonly used for the separation and analysis of hydrocarbons, oxygen-containing compounds (alcohols, esters, ketones), alkalinity, and neutrality in gas chromatography stationary liquids (with a maximum operating temperature of 190 ℃ and solvents of acetone, chloroform, dichloromethane, and methanol). A widely used non-ionic surfactant used to restore membrane components under mild denaturation conditions.
Triton-114 is a commonly used and complete membrane protein phase separation reagent. It can dissolve hydrophilic proteins from amphiphilic proteins, and can separate subcomponents of peripheral proteins and membrane integrins, making it more flexible.
