Betamethasone is used primarily for anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic purposes. Betamethasone has the same effect as dexamethasone, and its anti-inflammatory effect is stronger than dexamethasone, desimasone and hydrocortisone, with fewer side effects. Used for scientific research and experimental research.
Chemical properties: white crystalline powder. Melting point 231-234℃ (decomposition). No odor. Betamethasone acetate ([987-24-6]) is also a white crystalline powder, melting point 205-208℃, slightly soluble in propanol, ethanol, extremely insoluble in chloroform or ether, insoluble in water, odorless.
Use: hormone drug. It is mainly used for anti-inflammation and anti-allergy. It is suitable for rheumatoid arthritis and various skin diseases. Betamethasone has the same effect as dexamethasone, and its anti-inflammatory effect is stronger than dexamethasone, desimasone, and hydrocortisone, with fewer side effects.
