Physical properties and indicators:
Appearance: …………………… White or yellowish powder
Solubility: ………………… It is soluble in water but insoluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, chloroform, or ether.
Application: Scientific research reagent, widely used in molecular biology, pharmacology and other scientific research. This product is a aminoglycoside antibiotics. The antimicrobial spectrum of paronomycin is essentially the same as neomycin and kanamycin. It exerts its antibacterial effect by directly binding to the 16S rRNA of the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, resulting in protein translation errors or premature termination of protein synthesis. In humans, aminoglycoside antibiotics act on their binding sites in the mitochondrial 12S rRNA (equivalent to the bacterial 16S rRNA) to cause mitochondrial protein translation abnormalities in susceptible individuals, causing deafness. Paromomycin is highly toxic to the ear and kidney, so it is generally not suitable for systemic application.
Storage conditions: room temperature, light, moisture, airtight dry.
