Description: Biochemical research. Genetic engineering and medical research. Used as a stabilizer for peptidases and other proteins. Protein standards.
Bovine Serum Albumin, also known as Bovine albumin, or Cohn Fraction V, referred to as BSA. BSA has a wide range of laboratory applications and is often used as a blocking agent in immune experiments, including ELISA and Western Blot (WB). As carrier proteins, cross-linking them to haptens and other weak antigens can make them more immunogenic in antibody production. In restriction enzyme digestion reactions, BSA is often used as a reaction stabilizer for some enzymes and prevents it from adhering to tube walls and gun heads. BSA is also commonly used in the production process of biopharmaceuticals or as a nutrient in cell and microbial cultures. In addition, it is also used as a standard for protein quantitative detection. Our BSA products are prepared using high quality bovine plasma using Heat Shock method.
Bovine Serum albumin (BSA) is a Standard Grade that meets most of the requirements of routine experiments, such as as an immune blocker, a histiocytic culture additive, a protein/enzyme stabilizer, anda standard for protein quantification.
In addition to BSA-V, we also offer other application grades of BSA, including high purity grade (Cat: A8010), fatty acid-free grade (Cat: A8850), cell culture grade (Cat:H1130), BSA standard (Cat: PC0001), and BSA Sealer solution (Cat: SW3015).
