AEC底物显色试剂是一种可以通过过氧化物酶催化底物3－氨基－9－乙基咔唑氧化形成红色不溶性产物，以此鉴定过氧化物酶活性，从而确定目标分子表达情况，该种方法权威而经典。其适用于辣根过氧化酶标记蛋白的免疫学检测（蛋白质免疫印记、免疫组织化学、以及原位杂交染色等）。产品性能稳定，操作便捷，敏感度高，显色清晰，重复性好。
3－氨基－9－乙基咔唑（3-amino－9－ethylcarbazole；AEC）是过氧化物酶（Peroxidase）的生色底物，其分子式为C14H14N2，分子量为210.3。在过氧化物酶的催化下，电子供体AEC底物在过氧化氢氧化下，失去电子而呈现出颜色变化和沉积，形成稳定性红色不溶性产物（能溶于有机试剂）。
说明：过氧化物酶活力指示剂；过氧化物酶底物，用于免疫组织化学染色；水溶荧光基因底物，用于纤维蛋白溶酶。适用于免疫印迹法和免疫组织化学中的染色步骤。该底物能生成不溶性红色终产物，可直观地观察到。用于生化试剂，荧光探针，标记，粒子和染色剂, 酶、抑制剂和底物等方面。
纯度 (滴定)：>95.0%
溶解性：可溶于乙醇和DMF，参考浓度5％。
注意事项：
1. 由于AEC生成的颜色产物为脂溶性，因此用于IHC显色后不适合用中性树脂封片，须用水性封片剂封片也正因为如此，可以在显色后进行多重染色技术。
2. 根据情况自行优化实验条件，调整显色时间，获得最佳显色效果。
3. AEC有一定毒性，操作时请采取必要的防护措施。
