Description:
Neomycin sulfate is a spectral aminoglycoside antibiotic widely used in molecular biology and cell culture to screen prokaryotes with resistance genes (neo). Neomycin sulfate binds to the 30S and 50S (sometimes 50S) subunits that cause miscoding, thereby inhibiting the initiation and prolongation of protein synthesis.
Antibacterial spectrum:
Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Use concentration (reference value) :
The standard minimum inhibitory concentration of Escherichia coli is 10μg/ml.
Feature:
Moisture (%) : ≤8.0
pH (3.3%, water) 25℃ : 5.0-7.5
Solubility:
Dissolved in water, 50mg/ml as mother liquor, filtered and sterilized at 2-8℃
Note :
(1) For cell experiments, after dissolution, disposable needle filter must be used to remove bacteria.
(2) For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and wear disposable gloves.
