Background | It is a muscarinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist. |
Biological Activity | Homatropine Bromide 是一种毒蕈碱受体AChR拮抗剂,可用作抗胆碱剂。[1-3] |
In Vivo | In the guinea-pig left atrium,in the presence of hexamethonium(0.1-3 mM),the muscarinic receptor blocking activity of homatropine bromide(20 microM)appears to be reduced.[1] In guinea-pig atria and rat stomach fundus, homatropine bromide had similar affinities for muscarinic receptors in stomach(pA2 = 7.13)and for those in atria mediating force(pA2 = 7.21)and rate(pA2 = 7.07)responses.[2] Homatropine bromide was administered to rats by intramuscular injection, oral gavage and rectal suppository. Plasma concentration were measured over the subsequent 12 h. Peak plasma concentrations were higher and achieved more rapidly after rectal administration than by the other routes whether homatropine bromide was administered in a water-soluble suppository base or in aqueous solution.[3] |
