Property: Iodonitrotetrazolium chloride is a light yellow or yellow powder, slightly soluble in water. It can dissolve 0.5g in 100ml of water at 25 ℃, soluble in most organic solvents, soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in ether. The melting point is 227-229 ℃ (decomposition). The INT oxidation type is a colorless crystalline powder, while the reduction type is a red purple needle shaped crystal, toxic and irritating.
Use: INT is an electron acceptor for colorimetric detection of various dehydrogenases, which can be used for pathological chemical research, bacterial staining, and quantitative analysis of corticosteroids and oxidoreductases (such as lactate and succinate dehydrogenase).
