Character (THE following information is for reference only) : light gray or light brown powder, almost insoluble in water, but can be dispersed into a uniform suspension in water. A glucose-mannose-rich polysaccharide extracted from yeast cell walls or yeast cells.

Use: This product is only for scientific research, can not be used for other purposes. (The following uses are for reference only) Determination of phagocytosis. Measurement of properdin (serum sterilizing protein). It can enhance the body's specific defense by activating properdin system. It can be used as a reagent for the determination of cellular phagocytosis and as a phagocytic conditioner. In addition, it binds to natural antibodies in serum to inactivate complement, forming a complex called zymosan, antibody, and complement, or ZAC 142, where the "142" refers to the three components of complement. ZAC 142 can cleave and inactivate the third component of complement. Zymosan was also used for the purification and detection of properdin.
