Salicylic acid is widely used, eczema, psoriasis, acne, dandruff may use salicylic acid. Salicylic acid at a concentration of 3% to 6% can be used to exfoliate, and above 6% it is destructive to the tissue. The concentration below 40% is suitable for the treatment of corns, thick cocoon and virus warts. Salicylic acid can also be added to acne and dandruff treatments. Nowadays, salicylic acid is added to many famous cosmetics. In 1993, CLINIQUE first launched the soft renewal hydrating cream containing 1% salicylic acid, which immediately became one of the most successful products of Clinique. In 1998, SK-II crystal change skin cream added 1.5% BHA to the original Pitera formula, and compared the effect of salicylic acid in treating pores and cutin to the peeling-egg, which triggered a market boom. The open shelf access of Ourei's popular product Rejuvenating Essence cream also contains 1.5% BHA.
Precautions
Because of the high concentration of salicylic acid has a certain degree of harm, the concentration of salicylic acid in cosmetics is generally limited to 0.2% ~ 1.5%, salicylic acid containing cosmetics must be warned to determine the safety of long-term use, and children under 3 years old should not use it.
