Product introduction:
streptavidin is a protein with similar biological characteristics to avidin. It is a secretion from streptomyces avidinii. Its molecular weight and biotin binding ability are similar to avidin in egg white. Nonspecific binding is much lower than avidin. Streptavidin is a tetrameric protein with a size of 66KDa. One molecule of streptavidin can bind to four molecules of biotin with high specificity, and the affinity between the two molecules is extremely strong. The dissociation constant of the streptavidin - biotin complex is on the order of 10 mol/L, which is often used in molecular biology. One of the complete SA peptide chains contained 159 amino acid residues with a molecular weight of 16450. HRP labeled streptavidin developed by Solarbio company is a complex made of imported streptavidin and high-activity peroxidase HRP, which can be used for the detection of Biotin labeled antibodies, proteins or other biotin labeled molecules. Specific applications include Western blotting, ELISA, immunohistochemistry or immunocytochemistry.
Preservation system:0.01M PBS(pH 7.4), 1% BSA, 0.03% Proclin300, 50% glycerol.
