Product introduction:
Malachite Green is an artificially synthesized organic compound that is soluble in water, ethanol, methanol, and pentanol. The aqueous solution appears blue-green. It is produced by heating and condensing 1 mole of benzaldehyde and 2 moles of xylene in concentrated hydrochloric acid to form a leuco base. Under acidic conditions, lead peroxide is added to oxidize the base, and the pigment base is precipitated in an alkaline solution. It belongs to the triphenylmethane type green dye.
