Product introduction:
Methyl orange is a commonly used acid-base titration indicator in analytical chemistry. A 0.1% aqueous solution with a pH range of 3.1 (red) to 4.4 (yellow) is suitable for titration between strong acids, strong bases, and weak bases. It is not suitable as an indicator for titration of organic acid compounds. It is also used for spectrophotometric determination of chlorine, bromine, and bromine ions, as well as biological staining.
Methyl orange, structurally named as sodium p-dimethylaminoazobenzenesulfonate or sodium 4- ((4- (dimethylamino) phenyl) azo) benzenesulfonate. 1 part dissolved in 500 parts of water, slightly soluble in water and yellow in color, easily soluble in hot water, solution golden in color, almost insoluble in ethanol, formed by coupling with N, N-dimethylaniline after diazotization of p-aminobenzenesulfonic acid.
