Product Introduction
Endonuclease IV, also known as Nfo, is derived from E.coli and is involved in DNA damage repair. This enzyme can recognize the depurine/depyrimidine (AP) site on double-stranded DNA molecules, and cut the first phosphodiester bond at the 5′ end of the AP site to produce 3′ hydroxyl and 5′ deoxyribose phosphate ends. In addition, the enzyme also has 3′ diesterase activity, which can release phosphoglyceraldehyde, intact deoxyribose 5′ -phosphate and phosphoric acid from the 3′ terminal of DNA. In addition, the enzyme also has 3′-5′ exonuclide activity, and the progressive action of the enzyme on the substrate is affected by metal ions, DTT, EDTA, etc., and it is more inclined to act on the double chain of the 3′ concave end
DNA.
