Product introduction:
Phenol red: acid-base indicator, color change range pH: 6.8 (yellow) -8.4 (red); Total measurement of blood carbon dioxide; Indicators for preparing disaccharide iron urea culture medium in bacterial serum testing. Deep red crystalline powder. 1g of this product is soluble in 1300ml of water, approximately 350ml of alcohol, 500ml of acetone, almost insoluble in ether and chloroform, soluble in hydroxide alkali or carbonate alkali solutions, showing a deep red color, stable in air. Melting point: 300 ℃.
Product Usage:
Phenol red is used as an indicator of pH value in culture media, but it has certain steroid like effects, such as estrogen like effects, especially for cultured mammalian cells, and the possible steroid reactions cannot be ignored.
