Main applications of pyruvate:

1, is the main raw material for the production of tryptophan, phenylalanine and vitamin B, is the raw material for the biosynthesis of L-dopa, and is the initiator of ethylene polymers.

2. Pyruvate is an intermediate of the bactericide thiabendazole.

3. According to GB 2760--1996, it is allowed to use food spices.

It has an odor similar to acetic acid. Easy to absorb moisture. See the light color darker. In addition to the quality of pure and avoid light kept sealed, polymerization in the storage process, decomposition phenomenon. It can be miscible with water, ethanol and ether. The relative density (d154) was 1.267. The melting point was 11.8℃. Boiling point 165℃(decomposition), 70.8℃(2.67kPa). The refractive index (n20D) was 1.4138. The flash point was 83 ℃. Corrosive.
