Description:
Antibiotics, which can inhibit the synthesis of mature virion DNA and protein; It is a special inhibitor of bacterial ribonucleic acid polymerase.
Use and synthesis method:
Use: scientific research reagent, widely used in molecular biology, pharmacology and other scientific research. Rifampicin is a semi-synthetic broad-spectrum rifamycin antibiotic, which has antibacterial activity against many pathogenic microorganisms. The drug has obvious bactericidal effect on M. tuberculosis and some non-M. tuberculosis (including M. leprae, etc.) both inside and outside the host cell. Rifampicin has a good antibacterial effect on aerobic gram-positive bacteria, including staphylococcus enzyme producing strains and methicillin-resistant strains, Streptococcus pneumoniae, other streptococcus genera, Enterococcus genera, Listeria genera, anthrax bacillus, perfringens bacillus, diphtheria bacillus, anaerobic coccus, etc. It also has high antibacterial activity against aerobic gram-negative bacteria such as Neisseria meningitidis, Haemophilus influenzae and Neisseria gonorrhoea. Rifampin also has a good effect on Legionella, and has an inhibitory effect on chlamydia trachomatis, venereal lymphogranuloma and pectin fever. Bacteria are cross-resistant to rifamycin antibiotics. Rifampicin binds firmly to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase subunits, inhibiting bacterial RNA synthesis and preventing the enzyme from linking to DNA, thus blocking the RNA transcription process and stopping DNA and protein synthesis.
