Bacillus remover is mainly used to remove cytobacterium contamination and common bacterial contamination. Bacillus Cohn is rod-shaped, Gram positive, negative, or variable, with periflagellar movement. When the cells are contaminated with bacilli, some rod-like swimming bugs will be seen under the microscope, and there is strong resistance to penicillin, kanamycin, chloramphenicol, ampicillin, tetracycline, streptomycin, azithromycin and other antibiotics, which is difficult to remove, and the proliferation is very fast to compete with the cells for nutrition, and the culture medium will not become cloudy in the short term.

The main component of bacterium removal agent is antibacterial complex, which has a good inhibition and removal effect on bacilli, provides help to prevent pollution and rescue valuable cells, saves manpower and material resources, reduces unnecessary expenditure and ensures the smooth progress of scientific research work.

Characteristics of bacterial contamination:

a. Under the microscope, there will be some small rod-shaped worm swimming between the cells;

b. The culture medium in the early stage is not cloudy;

c. Bacilli proliferate quickly and compete with cells for nutrients;

d. It is ineffective to various antibiotics, difficult to remove, and ineffective after changing and rinsing;

e. Possible contamination through incubator air.

How to use

1. The cells were found to be contaminated by bacilli. Discard the medium and clean it with pbs 3 times:

Note:

1. Other cells cultured at the same time should be closely observed. If elongated bacilli are observed under a high-power microscope, they need to be treated in time to prevent the expansion of the scope of contamination: If the cell state is found to be poor after treatment, it is recommended to double the concentration and extend the treatment time;

2. When most cells are found to be contaminated with bacilli, it is recommended to check media, serum, pancreatic enzyme, pbs and other relevant reagents used in cell culture in time
