Griffonia Simplicifolia Lectin I (GSL I) Isolectin B4, Biotinylated

GSL I-B4 heteroagglutinin contains only B subunits. It is a useful marker for endothelial cells from non-primates, such as mice, rats, rabbits, and goats, as well as for non-peptideable non-myelinated primary afferent neurons. This B -rich lectin preferentially agglutinates B-type blood cells and is specific to alpha-galactose residues. Biotinylated GSL I-B4 has the right amount of biotin to provide optimal staining properties for this lectin. The conjugated compound contains essentially no unconjugated biotin and is preserved with sodium azide.
