Lens Culinaris Agglutinin (LCA), Biotinylate
Storage:Short-term storage at 2-8℃;long-term storage at -20℃
LCA recognizes sequences containing α-linked mannose residues, but recognizes other sugars as part of the receptor structure, making it more specific than ConA. α-linked fucose residues attached to the n-acetylchitosaccharide portion of the core oligosaccharide significantly enhance the affinity. By taking advantage of this stronger specificity, glycoproteins and glycopeptides can be subfractionated with LCA after initial separation using ConA. Biotin lentil has the right amount of biotin to provide the best staining properties for this lectin. The conjugated compound contains essentially no unconjugated biotin and is preserved with sodium azide
