Lipopolysaccharides(LPS)
Appearance:White to light yellow liquid
Storage:Store at 2-8℃
Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a characteristic component of the cell wall of Gram-negative bacteria. LPS and its lipid A part stimulate innate immune system cells through toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), a member of the toll-like receptor protein family that recognizes common pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMP). Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is distributed in the outer layer of the cell membrane and is present on the cell surface of the uncoated strains. LPS can maintain the integrity of the outer membrane. In addition, it also protects cells from bile salt stress and lipophilic antibiotics.
