Griffonia (Bandeiraea) Simplicifolia Lectin II (GSL II, BSL II)
Storage:Store at 2-8℃
This lectin is a dimeric glycoprotein consisting of two subunits of nearly equal size, each with a binding site for a disulfide bonding chain and an alpha - or β-linked N-acetylglucosamine residue. Unlike other N-acetylglucosamine specific lectins, increasing the number of N-acetylglucosamine residues to more than two does not increase affinity. GSL II is reported to be unique in its ability to recognize only α-or β-linked N-acetylglucosamine residues at the non-reducing ends of oligosaccharides.
