Vicia Villosa Lectin (VVL, VVA), Fluorescein
Storage:Store at 2-8℃
VVL preferentially recognizes α- or β-linked terminal N-acetylgalactosamine, especially individual α-N-acetylgalactosamine residues linked to serine or threonine in polypeptides (Tn antigens). There is evidence that such lectins may also require specific amino acid sequences at glycosylated receptor sites. Disaccharide galactosyl (alpha-1,3) n-acetylgalactosamine is also a potent inhibitor of this lectin. Fluorescein-labeled Vicia villosa lectin has the right amount of fluorescent dye to provide the best staining properties for this lectin. The conjugated compound basically does not contain uncoupled fluorescent dyes.
