Product Introduction
Bovine pancreatic deoxyribonuclease is an endonuclease that preferentially splits phosphodiester bonds adjacent to pyrimidine nucleotides to produce 5' Phosphoric acid terminal polynucleotide, at 3' The site has a free hydroxyl group. Deoxyribonucnase I is secreted by exocrine glands and is highest in the pancreas and parotid glands. It is also found in low amounts in other tissues. This product removes proteases and RNA enzymes and is suitable for RNA recycling or for research where RNA and protein integrity is required. DNase is known to be involved in cell apoptosis and is thought to play a role in the regulation of actin polymerization in cells. In addition to its applications in molecular biology, DNase I is also used to treat cystic fibrosis and systemic lupus erythematosus.
