Product Introduction

Carboxypeptidase B (CPDB) is a metallic carboxypeptidase that catalyzes the hydrolysis of polypeptide C-terminal amino acids, lysine, arginine and ornithine.

Application

C-terminal alkaline amino acid continuous cleavage sequence analysis; Diagnostic serum markers for acute pancreatitis; Progressive digestion of cytochrome C; Human insulin production

International System Classification Number: EC: 3.4.17.2

Optimum pH: 9

Isoelectric point: 4.6-5.2

Inhibitor: Competitively inhibited by arginine, lysine and ornithine; Metal-chelating agents such as 1, 10-phenanthroline and EDTA; Heavy metals; Potato carboxypeptidase inhibitor; Leech carboxypeptidase inhibitors

Unit definition: At 25 ℃ and pH 7.65, one unit can hydrolyze 1 micromole of hippopotamylarginine per minute.
