Product Introduction

Lysozyme is an antibacterial enzyme that is widely found in a variety of organisms, including birds, mammals, plants, insects and bacteria

Application

Nucleic acid preparation; Purification of proteins from inclusion bodies; Plasmid preparation (for breaking down cell membranes and cell walls); Chitinous hydrolysis; Hydrolysis of bacterial cell walls.

Inhibitors: SDS, oxidants, alcohols, N-acetylglucosamine

Definition of unit: A unit equal to a 0.001 reduction in turbidity per minute at 450 nm at pH 7.0 and 25 ℃, using a 0.3mg/ml lysophil cell suspension as a substrate.
