Product Introduction

Micrococcal nucleases catalyze the cleavage of DNA and RNA into 3 '-nucleotides. It has both explicit and explicit 5' - Phosphodiesterase activity. This enzyme catalyzes the preferential internal hydrolysis of RNA and DNA at sites rich in adenylate or uridylate, deoxyadenylate or thymidylate

Application

The specific hydrolysis of micrococcal nuclease makes it a useful tool for elucidating nucleic acid and oligonucleotide sequences.

Precautions

Enzyme activity has absolute requirements for Ca2+, and the optimal pH varies according to Ca2+ concentration

International System Classification Number: EC: 3.1.31.1

Optimal pH: 9.2

Inhibitor: 5' -dioxonucleotide and 5' -ribonucleotide has inhibitory effect, and the former has the most inhibitory effect

Unit definition: with DNA as substrate, at 37℃, pH 8.0, 260 nm, the change in optical density 1 unit corresponds to 1.0
