Product Introduction

Phospholipase A2 from bovine pancreas is a calcium-dependent lipolysis enzyme

Application

Phospholipase A2 from bovine pancreas has been used to determine the activity of proximal convoluted renal tubules (PTS) during oxygenation and hypoxia-reoxygenation, and to study the effect of phospholipase A2 on the triglyceride level of renal tubule cells.

Precautions

It is grown in a completely animal-free medium and is designed for bioprocessing applications where the introduction of pathogens of animal origin must be prevented.

Isoelectric point: 7.4

Inhibitors: Zinc, barium and manganese ions

Unit definition: at pH 8.0 and 37 ℃, one unit hydrolyzes 1.0 μmol of soybean L-α-phosphatidylcholine to L-α-lysolated phosphatidylcholine and a fatty acid per minute.
