Product Introduction

Porcine DNase II (pDNase II) is an acidic endonuclease widely present in animal cells, mainly related to lysosomes. It hydrolyzes the phosphodiester bond of DNA under acidic conditions without the need for bivalent metal ions, and is important for DNA breakage and degradation.

Precautions

It is grown in a completely animal-free medium and is designed for bioprocessing applications where the introduction of pathogens of animal origin must be prevented.

Optimal pH: 5

Isoelectric point: 8.1

Inhibitor: actinomycin D; Iodoacetate; N-bromosuccinimide and H2O2; Zinc, copper and other bivalent cations; Sulfate; NaCl (above 250 mM); DNA(above 0.4 mg/ml), rRNA, tRNA; Iodoacetamide (mildly inhibited)

Unit definition: Using highly polymerized DNA as a substrate, at 25 ℃, pH 4.6, the absorbance of a unit at 260 nm increases by 0.001 per minute.
