Product Introduction
The enzyme in E. coli alkaline phosphatase is converted to 5' -OH posterior to polynucleotide chain 5' The specificity of the -phosphate end makes splenic exonuclease very important in the characterization of polynucleotide chain length, base composition, and terminal nucleotide identity.
