Product Introduction
Elastase is a serine protease that also hydrolyzes amides and esters. It is produced as an inactive zymogen in the pancreas and activated by trypsin in the duodenum.
Application
Tissue dissociation;
Increase the solubility of membrane protein;
Protein sequence study
Precautions
Poor solubility at neutral pH and concentrations greater than 0.25%. Before dilution into the reaction mixture or medium, it is best to prepare a primary solution in KCl or alkaline buffer to compensate for changes in ionic strength or pH. The pH value is stable at 4.0-10.4.
Unit definition: 1 unit pyrolysis of 1 um of n-succinyl-l-propionyl-l-propionyl-l-alanine-p-nitroaniline at 25℃ and pH 8.0 per minute
International System Classification Number: EC: 4.6.1.19
Optimal pH: 8.5
Isoelectric point: 9.5
Inhibitors: Competitively inhibited by dipeptide derivatives of alanine, valine, leucine and isoleucine; Inhibitors of natural origin (e.g. serpentine); Improved natural inhibitors; Sulfate modified lipids
