Product Introduction
Reduced serum DMEM/F-12 (1:1) medium can be widely used in reduced serum mammalian cell culture. Contains non-essential amino acids and sodium pyruvate, does not contain L-glutamine and HEPES, does not contain phenol red. It is a widely used base medium used to promote the growth of many different mammalian cells. Compared with classical DMEM/F-12 (1:1), the use of this formula can reduce the amount of serum by 50-90% without affecting the cell growth rate and morphology, thereby reducing the fluctuation of culture conditions and extending the time of use of the same batch of serum. Without domestication, the product can grow cells such as MRC-5, SP2, Vero, WI-38 and Jurkat. The medium is formulated in a high quality formula with superior reliability, consistency and improved control for mammalian cell cultures.
Instructions for Use
Reduced serum DMEM/F-12 (1:1) Added ethanolamine, glutathione, ascorbic acid, insulin, transferrin, bovine serum albumin and some trace elements on the basis of classic DMEM/F-12 (1:1), which can be used to maintain cell culture and proliferation in low serum state. Before use, 1-5% fetal bovine serum and 4mM L-glutamine or alanyl-glutamine should be added. Since different types of cells depend on serum differently, we recommend optimizing for different cells to determine the final serum concentration.
