Ham's F-12K culture-medium is a Kaighn's modified version of Ham's F-12 nutrient mixture, which increases the concentration of amino acids and pyruvate, reduces the amount of glucose, and modifies the composition and content of salts (Konigs Bergs) based on Ham's F-12. Ham's F-12K medium was originally designed to culture primary human hepatocytes as well as differentiated rat and chicken cells. This product contains amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts and other ingredients required for cell culture, but does not contain proteins, lipids or any growth factors, so this product should be used with serum or no serum additives.
