Product Introduction
High glucose DMEM added ethanolamine, insulin, transferrin, bovine serum albumin, glutathione, ascorbic acid, and some trace elements on the basis of classic DMEM, which could ensure the cell culture and proliferation under the condition of low serum. This medium is commonly used in attenuated mammalian cell cultures and contains phenol red, 0.11g/L pyruvate and MEN essential amino acids, but does not contain L-amine and HEPES. Compared with classical DMEM, this formula can reduce the amount of serum by more than 50%, and does not affect the cell growth rate and morphology, thus extending the time of use of the same batch of serum, and reduce the fluctuation of culture conditions, but also reduce the infection and transmission of pathogens, thereby improving the purity and reliability of cell culture. The medium can be used on MDBK, A549, MDCK, HepG2, COS-7, Vero and WI-38 cells without acclimation.
Instructions for use
Before use, fetal bovine albumin (1-5%) and 4mM of L-glutamine or alanyl-glutamine should be added. Because different types of cells depend on the serum to different degrees, we recommend optimizing for specific cells to determine the final serum concentration.
