Capping rate is an important quality attribute index of mRNA vaccine drugs and a necessary validation data for the application of mRNA products. At present, the determination of cap rate is mainly carried out by LMS. There are hundreds of orders of magnitude difference in molecular weight between capped mRNA and uncapped mRNA, and it is difficult to accurately analyze the difference between capped and uncapped samples compared to the hundreds of thousands of molecular weight of intact mRNA. Therefore, analysis of the capping rate first requires processing long fragments of mRNA into small fragments, turning differences of the order of hundreds of thousands into differences of the order of thousands. The pre-treatment kit for mRNA capping rate detection provided by Solarbio can accurately and efficiently process mRNA samples, and the treated samples can be directly used for LMS analysis, helping to quickly analyze the sample capping rate. This kit is suitable for pretreatment of mRNA samples with different capping methods and various cap structures
