Background | Rosuvastatin is a competing HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. Rosuvastatin effectively blocks hERG current, and Rosuvastatin reduces the expression of mature hERG and the interaction of heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) with hERG protein. Rosuvastatin is effective in reducing low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, triglycerides, and C-reactive protein levels. |
