A nonionic surfactant with excellent hydrophilicity, wetting, low foaming and other properties, and is non-hemolytic. It can reduce the surface tension of water-based systems, especially the dynamic surface tension.
This surfactant is gentle on red blood cells and can adsorb or filter red blood cells. Both surfactants, either alone or in combination with other emulsifying surfactants, improve the stability of latex suspensions. Their low foaming and high wettability properties allow the material to be evenly coated on the membrane. Surfybnot 485 has a higher hydrophilic-hydrophobic equilibrium coefficient, and Surfynol 465 has a slightly lower surface tension than Surfybnot 485, both of which have greater than 1% solubility in water.
