Sorbitan monostearate, also known as emulsifier Span-60 (S-60). HLB value is 4.70, beige bulk solid, odorless, non-toxic, acid value 5~10, saponification value 140~160, hydroxyl value 240~300. It can be dispersed in hot water, soluble in hot ethanol and benzene, and slightly soluble in ether or petroleum ether. It has strong emulsifying, dispersing and wetting ability and good compatibility with various surfactants. It is a non-ionic surfactant.
