Product introduction
Stroke is a complex, multifactorial, polygenic disease that can be caused by gene-to-gene or gene-to-environment interactions. hyperhomocysteine (Hhcy) is an important risk factor for ischemic stroke. cystathionine βsynthase (CBS) is a cytoplasmic homologous tetramer consisting of 63 KD subunits and is a pyridoxal phosphate (PLP) dependent enzyme. Under the catalysis of vitamin B6, CBS can make serine and homocysteine (Hcy) synthesize cystathione. As a key enzyme affecting the level of Hcy, CBS plays an important role in the conversion of Hcy into cysta-thioether. This enzyme is used in enzyme circulation methodology for the detection of homocysteine in the blood.
Scope of application
The protein can be used in the development and production of cystaetherase assay kit for the determination of Hcy.
