This product is one of the sphingolipid fluorescent probes, which can be used for Golgi-specific fluorescent staining of live cells, and is fluorescently labeled C5-ceramide. Ceramide and its analogues can selectively bind to the Golgi apparatus and can therefore be used as a Golgi-specific fluorescent probe.
Fluorescent labeling of the Golgi apparatus is suitable for living cells, but not for labeling of fixed cells.
For small amounts of liquid, centrifuge for a few seconds before each use to allow the liquid to settle sufficiently to the bottom of the tube.
Fluorochromes have quenching problems, please try to avoid light to slow down the fluorescence quenching.
Bring your own coverslips and slides.
