This product is one of the sphingolipid fluorescent probes that can be used for Golgi-specific fluorescent staining of live and fixed cells. The Golgi Green Fluorescent Probe II is a fluorescently labeled C6-ceramide with NBD. Ceramide and its analogues can selectively bind to the Golgi apparatus, so Ceramide can be used as a specific fluorescent probe for the Golgi apparatus.
Avoid using permeabilization solutions and detergent solutions containing Triton X-100; Avoid using fixatives containing methanol/acetone.
Fluorochromes have quenching problems, please try to avoid light to slow down the fluorescence quenching.
