Cy5.5 dye has been used to label biomolecules for fluorescence imaging and other fluorescence-based biochemical assays. They are widely used to label peptides，proteins，and oligonucleotides，among others. Cy5.5 dye is one of the common red fluorophores. Cy5.5NHS ester easily reacts with amino groups.
