This Cy3 dye is identical to GE's Cy3bis NHS ester. It has two NHS groups and may provide a brighter signal on some proteins than Cy3 single NHS ester (#141和#271). Various cyanine 3 (Cy3) dyes have been used to label biomolecules for fluorescence imaging and other fluorescence-based biochemical assays. They are widely used to label peptides，proteins，and oligonucleotides，among others. The fluorescence of the Cy3 dye increases substantially after binding to the protein. Cy3NHS ester reacts easily with amino groups.
