This Cy5 dye is identical to GE's Cy5bis NHS ester. It reacts easily with amino groups. It has two NHS groups that may provide a brighter signal on some proteins than the Cy5 single NHS ester. Our Cy5 Fluor is QC tested to ensure high levels of chromophores and reactive dye content. Various cyanine 5 (Cy5) dyes have been used to label biomolecules for fluorescence imaging and other fluorescence-based biochemical assays. They are widely used to label peptides，proteins，and oligonucleotides，among others. Cy5 dye is one of the common red fluorophores. These versatile fluorophores can tolerate a pH range of 3-10 and are used in a variety of applications with biologically relevant pH. The dye is also DMSO tolerant and photostable，enabling transfer from storage to analysis without loss of performance.
