Compared to fluorescein labeling reagents such as FITC and FAM，6-dR110 [6-carboxy-4,7-dichlororhodamine 110] reagent yields more photostable and pH-independent bioconjugates with large absorption around the 488 nm excitation wavelength. They outperform FITC and FAM products with extremely high photostability. 5-Carboxy-4,7-dichlororhodamine 110 is one of the four key 4,7-dichloro-rhodamine dyes used as a BigDye terminator for DNA sequencing in combination with d6G，dTMR，and dROX.
