5(6)-Carboxyrhodamine 6G ethylenediamine is a bioconjugate of romidan formation. In general，the 6G conjugate is more phototolerant and emits more fluorescence intensities than the tetramethylromindan conjugate. The wavelengths of the excitation and emission of Romindan 6G are between those of fluorescein and tetramethyl Romindane derivatives，allowing 5(6)-CR6G to provide alternative color options for multicolor fluorescence imaging analysis. 5(6)-CR6G is a mixture formed from two different carboxyl groups of romindan 6G monomers.
